  1. At the beginning of 2020, we mastered the niche of international logistics services and launched a unique website for a transport and logistics company PearlLogistics. The simplicity of the site makes it easy to order any cargo: both container transportation and cars from the USA. Clients can be both businesses and individuals.

  1. Top furniture companies were helped during the lockdown (Zlatamebel.ua и Dommino.ua) implement the sale of a finished batch of goods through strengthening the “Sale” section. As a result, online sales increased 3 times compared to the previous period and additional sales managers were forced to join the department.

  1. After quarantine, we launched a redesign of the project Zlatamebel.ua. Let us remind you that this niche is “not created” for e-commerce, because the average bill is 40 thousand UAH. The result was received already in April 2020: an increase in online sales of +226% compared to the previous period.

Which has already been successfully launched thanks to the well-coordinated work of the marketing team and content direction. Internal changes:

  1. Personnel changes. We, like many others, were affected by layoffs and some of our staff left us. We are now recruiting new specialists and preparing for new records.
  2. We updated business processes on the fly. We added the responsibilities of the parties to the contract and work standards, which made cooperation with the client more understandable and structured.

“The bottom line” is that we got a positive balance – there were more “+” than “-“.

What are the most valuable conclusions of 2020 and trends:

  1. Analysis, adaptability and flexibility are now the most valuable traits for business:
    It is necessary to use various services for analytics: financial reports, end-to-end analytics, data from crm...and quickly make decisions based on the data
  2. “It won’t be the same as before”:
    The fatal mistake for many was “procrastination” - “delaying”. Someone hides behind excuses: “online doesn’t work in our niche” / “you don’t understand...”, or “everything sells well offline, why have a website”

    The website will significantly increase the chances and protect the business from lockdowns and fluctuations in demand, but will not solve all your problems related to the quality of the product and service.
  4. There is no need to “put all your eggs in one basket.”
    Those who only bet online have dramatically rethought their business model. Now we receive requests “I urgently need to go online” and we cannot implement this instantly.
  5. It’s better to make something cool from scratch than to patch up a sinking boat.
    With the rise of digitalization, the consumer has become sophisticated: he is no longer satisfied with mediocre, clumsy websites. When we are asked to improve a bad website, we know that it is to no avail. If you save on the site, then you will definitely overpay in advertising: the site will not comply with Google rules and the cost of a click will be higher, the site’s position will be lower, because the basic SEO foundation was not taken into account in the design of the site. Therefore, “Saving for the future” and “saving for the future” are different things.”
